Multi Room Options

I see that we can remotly control one device from web dasboard.

 

Can we extend this function to make real multi room :

 

- be able to select multi device to control : at the beginning maybe juste select devices and play same things as you 

 

- be able to do this from web dashboard but in client app too

 

Something like squeezebox but with awesome media browser's UI and for movie too !

 

The only problem i see is synchronisation : maybe add 1sec or more before music launch to be sure that every device launch music at the same time.

Synchronization would be a lot more complex than that.  Basically, we would need to broadcast the same stream to multiple places I think.  An interesting idea but probably not something you'll see from us for quite some time.

Using the time of each device might work, but only if the clock of each device are synchronised to exactly the same time. However, network lag is also likely to cause problems with keeping playback in-synch.

http://togethertube.com/ is the concept I believe being asked for. No idea how this could be implemented on MB though.
