Play all search results - playing Broadway albums is almost impossible

Hello,

 

The tracks on Broadway albums often have different artists because not all artists sing on all tracks.

 

Playing these kinds of albums has been extremely difficult with Emby to the point that I stopped using Emby completely.

 

Let me give you an example. Let's say I want to search and play the "Aladdin" Broadway cast album.

 

Below is what I see in Emby when I search for Aladdin. When I click on each of those items I usually get a single track, then I have to go back and click on another one etc. I cannot find a way to play the complete album.

 

The simplest workaround that I can think of is for Emby to allow playing all the search results with a single click.

You can likely address this by editing the album artist/artist values.  Pick one of them and set it to a constant value for the album and use the other to store the varying performer details.  For example, all my soundtracks/cast recordings have an Album Artist value of 'Original Soundtrack' so they get dumped together in my UI.  Then in the Artist value I put in the performer info if I care.

Thanks for the explanation. Still, this is a general ask for Emby and I would love it if it would be possible to play all search results. Plex already supports this as I have learned today.
