Dizzy49 99 Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 Not sure where issues with Emby Connect should go, so sorry if this isn't the correct place. I've logged via Emby Connect on multiple devices, as well as via web (app.emby.media) and tried to add a server, and it will not save. The only server listed is the local server. I want to add my remote domain to the list to make it easier to connect while away from home. The server is never saved on any device or online.
Solution Luke 42080 Posted December 29, 2015 Solution Posted December 29, 2015 so it connects but just doesn't get added to the list? please note if it's the same emby server then it just gets blended into the existing record. the app knows the local and remote addresses to reach the server so the best thing to do is just let it handle it automatically. 1

Luke 42080 Posted December 30, 2015 Posted December 30, 2015 For #3, You can already change the server name in your server dashboard. that is what gets displayed inside the apps.

Yes, but it's also good design to allow users some basic level of customization. Being able to view the local and remote addresses, and change a name would be basic yet extremely usable/useful. Maybe even a check for premium on the server with a token to indicate it's premium. Would be useful to those with multiple servers, as well as people wanting to keep an eye on the status of the premium on the servers.
RoseySoft 0 Posted January 5, 2018 Posted January 5, 2018 I am a premium member. I have been working on the server for about 1 1/2 weeks. If I log in to connect I am thrown to the server. But when I add Users via connect and try to setup my Alexa, I get No Server Listed. I can not get to connect to even see the setting on the connect side, since it will bring me to the server everytime, The server that is not list. haha. How do I fix this. I was just having everyone login thru the web address and not connect since I get this error when I try to setup user on connect. But now I can not even setup Alexa. If it does not have my server listed, How does it know my server to go to when I login?

What you should do for Alexa is login to your server directly, and use your emby server dashboard to link your server to Emby Connect. You can do that by following this process here: https://github.com/MediaBrowser/Wiki/wiki/Emby%20Connect#guide-for-administrators This is also covered in our alexa wiki article: https://github.com/MediaBrowser/Wiki/wiki/Alexa Then once you've done this, then try to setup with Alexa again. Please let us know if this helps. Thanks. 1
