TheShanMan 40 Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 I'm confused as to why there is a "yes" option and an "auto" option. What is the difference between these 2 options in Windows? And can I suggest clarifying the difference in the UI?
TheShanMan 40 Posted December 31, 2015 Author Posted December 31, 2015 No one knows the difference I guess.
Koleckai Silvestri 1154 Posted December 31, 2015 Posted December 31, 2015 I would suspect that Auto makes sure it doesn't try to do real-time monitoring on filesystems that don't support it. Such as Linux powered NAS systems.
TheShanMan 40 Posted December 31, 2015 Author Posted December 31, 2015 But in that scenario what would be the difference if the user chose "yes". Emby would crash and burn? It just seems like the two must be functionally equivalent. If it's a file system that doesn't support it, why would Emby even try? Seems like the options should be either auto+no or yes+no, rather than auto+yes+no. Regardless though, it's confusing as is so if the options are going to remain as is, the UI needs to provide clarification.
Koleckai Silvestri 1154 Posted January 1, 2016 Posted January 1, 2016 I don't disagree the need for better clarification.
