leerph 5 Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 Hi all. After the last update my live streaming on the android app is very choppy. It will play for a few seconds and freeze and then repeat. However, if I choose play with external player (MX player) then it plays fine for about a minute or 2 and then just closes/crashes out. But it is smooth playback until it stops. I'm a newbie to much of this stuff but I wonder if it is a playback setting in regards to bitrate or something. The reason I say this is b/c we have some non hd channels in our cable package and I can stream them perfectly with no lag or stutter, but all HD channels are choppy. Can anyone point me in the direction of some settings to check. Thanks.
Luke 42077 Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 Yea it's probably just the high bitrate. You can go in settings from the menu, then click Playback, then set a bitrate. the default is Auto which is usually best but live tv can be tricky. So try something low like 1mbps.
