After upgrade to Windows 8.1 MBC Configurator doesn't work

I have recently upgraded to Windows 8.1 Pro with MCE. Now I'm unable to run the configurator. This is the error message.

After the upgrade the Version of Microsoft.MediaCenter.UI is 6.3.9600.16384

You will need to re-install MBC.

I had to unistall and re-install MBC, just installing over doesn't work (maybe because was the same version).

That's correct.  An msi won't install the same version over itself.  Sorry, I should have been more specific.
