Hammerhead 4 Posted December 25, 2015 Posted December 25, 2015 Are MP3s handled differently in Emby when put into the 'Books' category than in the 'Music' category? I have a bunch of audio books in various files (including .aax) contained in subfolders, however the individual files are not showing up either in the Emby browser or in the metadata manager. Do they have to be filed as 'music' instead to be properly recognized? In other words, are books only displayed properly if they're ISOs instead of MP3?
Luke 42078 Posted December 25, 2015 Posted December 25, 2015 right now you have to handle them as if they were a music library. we may eventually expand into full audiobook support 1

Luke 42078 Posted December 12, 2016 Posted December 12, 2016 You can try out audio book support in the latest beta release of Emby Server. Simply create a library using the Books content type. Once scanned in you can play and resume just like you would expect with audio books. Please try it out and give us your feedback, we're listening. Thanks ! 1
Luke 42078 Posted December 12, 2016 Posted December 12, 2016 You need to supply your own images as there's no internet metadata at this stage. If there's a good internet metadata provider you can suggest, let us know. Thanks.
dredd1963 17 Posted December 12, 2016 Posted December 12, 2016 I normally google the audio book covers and save the covers.
dredd1963 17 Posted December 12, 2016 Posted December 12, 2016 I tend to use tardis data core site for my doctor who audio book covers. Its not metadate, but it as the covers i need.
