Info1 13 Posted December 24, 2015 Posted December 24, 2015 So no one else is posting but for some readon my emby theatre stopped working. I get an unknown error then windows want to close it. I have threate running on the same device as my server and tested from a desktop, same issue. Uninstalled and reinstalled same black screen. I did replace my router but should not have any impact as said devices are on the Lan side. WMC works, Server console opens. Not sure where to look. m
JoshuaAJones 68 Posted December 25, 2015 Posted December 25, 2015 I've had the same problem for the past couple of months. I just keep restarting it until it works. I'm just dealing with it until the next version comes out. Hopefully, soon.
Solution Info1 13 Posted December 25, 2015 Author Solution Posted December 25, 2015 Thanks for the input. Sadly my issues were my own stupidness. I setup the new router with Nat rules and tested external access on my iphone. When I went to watch a movie on EMBY Theatre no dice. Even tried my desktop. Route of the issue was I did not make a DHCP reservation for my server and the new router was giving out random ip addresses. I gues Windows media center with EMBY plug in does not care about the ip as it searches for the the server different??? guess here. On looking at the logs this morning of my desk top saw it could not log in and created the reservation, still no log in. Noted the logs refernecnce an old server once again and on my Window 7/server box I was getting an error and windows would ask to close the appl. On my Windows 10/desktop if I left it long enough I would be asked for a login. Looks my EMBT connect login. In the end I did not now where to flush the config so I deleted the directory and reinstalled. Back in business. As for your issue Joshua, have you setup a DHCP reservation for your server or Static address. Reboot until it works sounds like similar issues I had until I set this. m 1
