Delphi 83 Posted December 23, 2015 Posted December 23, 2015 Title says it all... I would like to force my users to run a manual sync every morning at 2am, this would fix items not being in collections along with any randomly missed incrementals...
im85288 1493 Posted December 23, 2015 Posted December 23, 2015 Seems a good idea, but I would say wait first for the next beta release as @@Angelblue05 is working on some changes that may make this unecessary. 2
Delphi 83 Posted December 23, 2015 Author Posted December 23, 2015 @@Angelblue05, since you are doing a major restructure might you consider changing the "Disable" options to "Enable" as it makes more sense to choose what to enable than what to disable...
Angelblue05 4132 Posted December 23, 2015 Posted December 23, 2015 Which settings are you referring to?
Delphi 83 Posted December 23, 2015 Author Posted December 23, 2015 Disable Cinema Mode... etc any with the reverse logic...
Angelblue05 4132 Posted December 23, 2015 Posted December 23, 2015 (edited) Hmm... I don't know how I feel about this. My reasoning behind the "Disable" is to provide the best possible experience out of the box, with minimal setup. It seems opting in (at least for things controlled at server level) would add complexity, no? Edited December 23, 2015 by Angelblue05
Delphi 83 Posted December 23, 2015 Author Posted December 23, 2015 set the default to the opposite of what it is now, and the oob experience remains the same.. 1
xnappo 1611 Posted December 24, 2015 Posted December 24, 2015 As to the manual syncs to get around the server issue - please post a bug report to the server thread to send proper collection updates.
Angelblue05 4132 Posted December 24, 2015 Posted December 24, 2015 What is weird is on my main server, I don't get any websocket messages when boxsets are modified. However on a new server install, I do get websocket messages when boxsets are modified. They are the same version, so I'm unsure what to think about this issue.
