How to Regegenerate a Home Page Folder Image?

I was wondering if there's a way to have Emby generate a different icon for a library folder that appears in the My Media section of the web client home page.  I know that deleting the folder and adding the folder back will do that, but that seems like an awkward way to do it.

 

Also, I added a new music folder to my library and it generated the attached folder image.  I noticed that it was generated from 2 album covers and 2 album artists (Andrea Bocelli and Barry Manilow) that were used to generate the image.  as best I can recall, past music folder images were generated only from album covers.  Is this by design?

Yes currently they seem to be created not just from covers.

 

To your question: Just delete the images in in library section, then rescan library. New images will get created. But they are generated by chance I think.

Thanks for the reply shorty, but.... H-mmm... I don't see actors used in my Movie sections icons and I have 4 different movie folders (Bluray, IMAX, Documentaries, DVD)---it just selects Movie covers.   That's why I expected Music to work the same.  Ie. Just use album covers...  That would seem to be more consistent with what Movie icon generation seems to use, unless I just got "lucky"?.

 

Thought I had tried deleting the library image before but only got the generic folder icon when it refreshed, so I just tried it again with the Music folder.  After the delete and a library refresh, it displayed the generic music icon and did not regenerate a 4-element icon...

 

Also should have mentioned that I'm running server Version 3.0.5781.8 on Windows 7 with IE11

Yes it just uses people in music section during generation of the collages.

 

Perhaps I need to mention that the regeneration of the new thumb after deleting old and rescan library take some minutes... [emoji16]
