Start a scan

Hello,

 

 

Emby is  slow to recognize new content.

When I add a new movie in a scanned folder I would like Emby to see it fast (less than 5 minutes).

Right now I need to do the scan manually for Emby to see it. Otherwise it is taking up to 12 hours.

 

I konw I can change the scan frequency to every 15 minutes, but isnt it a bit heavy on the server when there is no new content during many days?

 

I have a post-process script adding new content automatically. 

Could it be possible to simply add a command in this script to fire a library scan when new content is added only?

 

What command is it ?

It'a an option that's off by default, so you'll have to try it out.
