Zealot 1 Posted December 17, 2015 Posted December 17, 2015 Hello, I have emby's player installed on my fire TV box (original) but it is showing 2 servers. One of them has the name of the server I configured in the server app running on another windows computer on my network. The other server has the name of my PC running the emby server. It isn't a huge deal, but I'd like to only show one. What am I missing? Thanks, Simon
ebr 16169 Posted December 17, 2015 Posted December 17, 2015 So you are saying you had two servers at one time but not anymore or that these are both actually the same server with different names?
Zealot 1 Posted December 17, 2015 Author Posted December 17, 2015 So you are saying you had two servers at one time but not anymore or that these are both actually the same server with different names? I have one instance of Emby server running on a Windows 10 computer with the computer name being "Distributor". Somewhere in the options is a place to name the server (sorry, not at home to check right now). I named mine "ZealousMedia" (don't ask ). When I pull up the Emby app on my first generation FireTV it shows 2 servers, Distributor at 192.168.105.20 and ZealousMedia at 192.168.105.20. Both work, but I'd rather it just show the one, and I'm not pick as to which it is. I tried disbling DLNA on the off chance that it was seeing 1 as a DLNA server and 1 as the Emby server, but that didn't help. Thanks for the quick response! Simon
ebr 16169 Posted December 17, 2015 Posted December 17, 2015 Interesting. We should be realizing those are the same thing (due to IP address) and only keeping the most recent one. Perhaps the external IP was changed between the two points in time as well and that's why they both show up. Unfortunately, I think the only way you can get rid of it right now would be to 'clear data' on the app. This will cause you to lose settings but, there aren't many and you probably haven't changed much anyway .
