Web image viewing not respecting orientation

When viewing images on my Emby server with the web client (or Roku, for that matter), images don't respect orientation in either the preview view or the main view. Is this currently expected behavior? Windows Explorer and most image viewing programs display them properly.

 

Also, in the preview view (i.e. viewing the whole gallery), aspect ratio is often incorrect.
