Skkittlebomb 2 Posted December 15, 2015 Posted December 15, 2015 (edited) I moved a couple months ago, and was unfortunately robbed en route. My pc, hard drive and anything electronics related was stolen. I have since replaced all my hardware, but cannot connect to my original server as it is not up and running. I can see the option to connect to it but it continually fails. I have no idea what my local host address was and can't seem to figure out how to get into the server to change the local host to my new address. I am a lifetime member so I would prefer to not have to start over again with a new server. Suggestions would be greatly appreciated =) Thx guys! Edited to add - I have found my old local host address. Now how do I configure Emby to recognize my old addy so I can begin to migrate the old server to the new one? Koleckai Silvestri 1154 Posted December 15, 2015 Posted December 15, 2015 All clients, except the web client, should scan your network and provide you with a list of servers. Simply select the one that is current. Most clients allow you to delete old servers from their list. Don't know how to update via Emby Connect though. I would suspect you can just update the IP Address in your settings, but I don't use the service.
Skkittlebomb 2 Posted December 15, 2015 Author Posted December 15, 2015 It used to be that I could just change the local host address in the configuration program. The new download does not have that component, I'm at a total loss. I am a lifetime member and can't get that server to pop up for me.
Skkittlebomb 2 Posted December 15, 2015 Author Posted December 15, 2015 FYI, when I sign in via "Emby Connect" I can see the name of my old server, but the system created a new server which is the only one that it will connect to.
Skkittlebomb 2 Posted December 21, 2015 Author Posted December 21, 2015 *Bump* Anyone know how I can connect to my old server?
Luke 42083 Posted December 21, 2015 Posted December 21, 2015 I'm a little unsure of what you're trying to do. It sounds like you want to connect to the server that was stolen from you, is that correct?
Skkittlebomb 2 Posted December 21, 2015 Author Posted December 21, 2015 I did, as I was a paid member and had benefits. I had no idea how to recover that server as my pc was stolen. However, I got frustrated and just purchased another membership. Now that I see what the process is, I think I had to do was try to 'recover' my old key code given to me when I purchased before. I didn't realize that. So I guess now I have 2 memberships. No biggie, as it's worth every dime I have ever paid! lol
ebr 16187 Posted December 21, 2015 Posted December 21, 2015 You shouldn't have to buy twice. PM me the details and we'll take care of you. Thanks. 2
