Lost Server Info

I moved a couple months ago, and was unfortunately robbed en route. My pc, hard drive and anything electronics related was stolen. I have since replaced all my hardware, but cannot connect to my original server as it is not up and running. I can see the option to connect to it but it continually fails. I have no idea what my local host address was and can't seem to figure out how to get into the server to change the local host to my new address. I am a lifetime member so I would prefer to not have to start over again with a new server. Suggestions would be greatly appreciated =)

Thx guys!

Edited to add - I have found my old local host address. Now how do I configure Emby to recognize my old addy so I can begin to migrate the old server to the new one?

All clients, except the web client, should scan your network and provide you with a list of servers. Simply select the one that is current. Most clients allow you to delete old servers from their list.

Don't know how to update via Emby Connect though. I would suspect you can just update the IP Address in your settings, but I don't use the service.

It used to be that I could just change the local host address in the configuration program. The new download does not have that component, I'm at a total loss. I am a lifetime member and can't get that server to pop up for me.

FYI, when I sign in via "Emby Connect" I can see the name of my old server, but the system created a new server which is the only one that it will connect to.

*Bump*

Anyone know how I can connect to my old server?

I'm a little unsure of what you're trying to do. It sounds like you want to connect to the server that was stolen from you, is that correct?

I did, as I was a paid member and had benefits. I had no idea how to recover that server as my pc was stolen.

However, I got frustrated and just purchased another membership.

Now that I see what the process is, I think I had to do was try to 'recover' my old key code given to me when I purchased before. I didn't realize that.

So I guess now I have 2 memberships. No biggie, as it's worth every dime I have ever paid! lol

You shouldn't have to buy twice.  PM me the details and we'll take care of you.  Thanks.
