hyttam 2 Posted December 14, 2015 Posted December 14, 2015 1. I LOVE your product. I use it across three countries and I find new ways to use it every week. 2. I was wondering if there was a setting to force the organization of media, alphabetizing specifically, to ignore articles (a, an, the). I would like The Hunger Games to be filed under H, not T. My T has 410 items, when it should have about 150. If this can't be done with a setting in the present version, I would like to formally make it a feature request.
bluemonkey07 590 Posted December 14, 2015 Posted December 14, 2015 (edited) That should already be the case, though it is overidden if you use the same title in the "sort name " field in the items metadata. if you use some other software to download metadata sometimes it can fill in this field (emby usually leaves it blank by default) so this would be something to check Edited December 14, 2015 by Vidman
hyttam 2 Posted December 14, 2015 Author Posted December 14, 2015 I use Media Center Master for metadata. A couple of questions: 1. In the xml file it generates, there is no sort order, but it does have OriginalTitle and LocalTitle. Either of these cause the problem? If so, how do I get around that? 2. MCM also has the option to download other forms of metadata...any other one I can download to solve this? See below.
ebr 16187 Posted December 14, 2015 Posted December 14, 2015 The field you need to be looking for in your metadata file is "SortName". I'll bet it is filled in with the complete title. If you save as Kodi nfos, that should work with us as well.
hyttam 2 Posted December 14, 2015 Author Posted December 14, 2015 It's sorttitle actually. Looks like an MCM issue. Thanks for the help.
