Question about Artwork and viewed episodes

Dear community.

 

I have a question about the artwork download feature. 

In my folder with series i have divided my series like this:

 

Series

 "folder with main name eg: Arrow"

  -season 1

  -season 2

  -season 3

 

I have noticed that some of these folders does not contain the artwork/nfo files. The work around is just to "re identify" the series again. But my question is why has it not downloaded the artwork, when i started doing the my emby server from scratch, i ticked on the "save artwork and metadata into media folders" 

So is there a way to "redownload" the artwork without having to go through all of the movies and series? 

And i noticed, if i reidentify, it will change the cover i have chosen, to the default. I would like to avoid this if possible

 

Second question is, that i have experienced from time to time, just a few times, that after putting a new episode in the season folder. It will be marked as viewed? This lately happened with the latest episode from Elementary! Again this doesn't happen often luckily. But have seen it happen 4-5 times

Hi the mark viewed issue was resolved in the last release, but for any series that it has already happened, it will continue to happen, apologies. you'll just have to manually unmark it.

 

as far as the artwork goes, when you browse the emby web interface, do you see it?

Yes i see all the artwork fine on the emby web interface..

after you view it in the emby web interface, are the files then populated into the folders?

No i still only have the mkv file / srt subtitle file.

 

They will only come after i do an identify. And have marked the "replace existing images"

The i get poster, fanart, landscape, logo.. In the folder.

I just did it with Faceoff!
