Account problem with Emby Connect

First account – ron.bali. I installed Emby server on my Winows 10 laptop so that I could get movies and TV programs stored on a NAS playing on our LG Smart TV. This collection is about 2.3 terabytes. It all works – thanks a million! But when I try and access Emby Community using the ron.bali account I get “Sorry, you don't have permission for that!” I paid a one month subscription to Emby Premiere to see if this overcame the block – but no.

Second account – ronbax. On an Android tablet I created this second account which is not associated with an Emby server, and can access the Community Forum and post this message. So that is progress.

What next? I could remove the current server installation and re-install, but I would want to stay with the ron.bali account which has the Premiere subscription.

Any other suggestions before I embark on this big re-install project?

Hi, welcome. Please do not embark on any re-installation projects as I can assure that it's unrelated :)

I just activated your ron.bali account - what happened was after you signup, you get an email confirmation with instructions on how to validate the account. You must have either never received the email or just not read it to confirm the account creation. You should be good to go now.

I'm still unable to access the community using Ron.bali. I have cleared browsing data, restarted the laptop, gone to Emby Connect, then as soon as I sign in with Ron.bali I get "Sorry, you don't....". So still a puzzle.

I just looked and that member was banned in the system.

I've taken that off assuming that was a mistake picked up from your IP address range or something.

Please try again.  Thx.

OK seems fine.  Now I am logged in with ron.bali and can respond.  As to getting banned - I sometimes use a free VPN (ZenMate) and I gather that the Hong Kong IP address I seem to be using at times may be on some blacklists.  So I am limiting my use of the VPN as much as possible.

Anyhow thanks to both you ebr, and Luke for sorting this out.  Emby is working fine for me so far, reading the forums provides lots of info, and from time to time asking questions will be very helpful.
