Why does setting movie treatment also affect genre treatment?

What is your "Thumb" treatment set to?  Sapphire...?

Yes, thumb is set to Sapphire.  But setting Movie to ignore removes treatment from genre and setting Movie to any treatment applies Sapphire to genre.

It appears Trailer, Studio/Network treatments are linked to Movie treatment also.

Not sure exactly what is going on but it isn't too surprising something like this would happen because the "Thumb" treatment option was originally designed as a sub-set of Movies.  Basically, it was used in the case where your Movie display was landscape instead of portrait.  Genres and Studios should actually be treated like Folders instead of Thumbs.

 

I'm not sure how much unwinding of this connected logic will be required to address this but, given you are the first one to notice it and only just now, I guess it isn't affecting too many people at least.

Wasn't sure if is could be related in any way to the lag/performance with displaying movies.
