z0mbi 76 Posted December 12, 2015 Posted December 12, 2015 Hey guys. I recently made the switch from iOS to Windows Phone and bought a Lumia950 with Win10. I have a few comments about the emby app and I was wondering if this was still in active development, or what? I know not a lot of people use Windows phones but I'm hoping that will start changing soon with the new direction they're taking. My first comment is kind of vague, and that's that the app seems to more often than not refuse to play any of my media. I have no idea why. Sometimes it does, but most of the time it doesn't. Wish I could be more helpful about this one. The next thing that I think could use some love is the music player. When I play music, there is no way to scrub FF or RW through a track. You can only play/pause, or skip next or previous. Also, once you start playing music with the app, there seems to be no way to STOP playing the music. You can pause it, and move onto some other area of the app, but then you always have this annoying 'now playing' banner along the bottom of the screen that you seemingly cannot get rid of. For movies, my primary way of viewing my library on ALL of my emby and Plex apps is from DATE ADDED to my server. This is very important to me because I often add many items all at once manually. When I use the 'recent items' way to browse my library in the app, it only shows me a handful of movies and there doesn't seem to be any other way to view my items by the date they were added to my server. I would really appreciate a better way to view, sort, and filter my library. I am running both an emby and a Plex server right now off of the same machine because of the lack of an emby client for the XboxOne... but also in that same regard, the Plex client for WindowsPhone is far superior to the emby client right now in functionality. I can browse my library by date added, all of my media plays instantly, you can scrub through tracks, filter and sort everything... it's a good baseline to look at. I'd prefer to just use emby for everything because I prefer emby overall, but right now I need Plex to fill these app holes. Thanks for listening!
