Disorganise 15 Posted December 12, 2015 Posted December 12, 2015 My PC suddenly won't boot as of last night and before I go re-installing Windows I realised I wanted to be able to keep my watched status. Now I'm pretty sure I had the backup plugin installed and running - what I can't remember is where it would have been backing up to....doh. So 2 questions.....1) Is there a default location I can look for and 2) is there a file extension I can search for? In case it makes any difference....its Windows 7 and the C drive is a small SSD so I redirected the user profile area to a regular disk partition [can't remember how I did that either now....the joys of getting old ], so even if I reformat C to install windows I should still have the old profile info available. If there's a way to restore the whole config, even better, but I'll be happy just with the watched status. thanks Dave
Happy2Play 9780 Posted December 12, 2015 Posted December 12, 2015 The backup folders are named like this "MB Backup - 2014-10-11 11.1.23".
disorganise01 0 Posted December 12, 2015 Posted December 12, 2015 Great, thanks for that. Sent from my LG-H815 using Tapatalk
Disorganise 15 Posted January 30, 2016 Author Posted January 30, 2016 Sorry to drag up an old thread but it's taken me this long to get the PC rebuilt (holidays, finding the SSD was basically toast, then my amp failed...joy) what exactly do I need to restore to bring back the watched status?, the username I kept the same but the servername changed and I'm not 100% the config is the same (can't remember if I used network paths or drive letters). I have found the backups which is great - just don't want to restore everything if it will potentially create instability or something
Luke 42079 Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 i thought the restore process had options to specify what to restore?
Happy2Play 9780 Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 (edited) What server version are you on? You should see Users and Users playstate.ect...... Alternative see here. Edited January 30, 2016 by Happy2Play
Disorganise 15 Posted January 30, 2016 Author Posted January 30, 2016 i thought the restore process had options to specify what to restore? it does, but nothing specifically says 'watched state' I guess the user playstate is it per Happy2Play? [TBH When I first tried this I don't recall that option and restore all led to a reboot....and a rebuild when I realised I'd used an Ultimate disk instead of premium and only have a premium license free.....just don't want to stuff it up )
Disorganise 15 Posted January 30, 2016 Author Posted January 30, 2016 Well that did the trick Thanks for the tips What server version are you on? You should see Users and Users playstate.ect...... Alternative see here.
ebr 16184 Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 Playstate = Watched state. Since some media is not "watched" we try to use Play instead.
