dranderson402 31 Posted December 11, 2015 Posted December 11, 2015 I'm having a problem adding my music library. The scan gets stuck at 52% and never finishes. I've left it over night and the next day it was still at 52%. I have a fairly large music library of about 7,000 files that are all tagged and filed in the Artist > Album > FileName structure. Do I need to split up my files temporarily so it can scan smaller chunks?
Ian-Highlander 147 Posted December 11, 2015 Posted December 11, 2015 (edited) It's not the size of your library, I have 64,000 tracks in mine and it's fine. Anything in the logs? Edited December 11, 2015 by Ian-Highlander
Luke 42083 Posted December 11, 2015 Posted December 11, 2015 Hi, Can you try disabling some music metadata services under the server dashboard -> metadata? I think the problem might be related to them.thanks.
dranderson402 31 Posted December 11, 2015 Author Posted December 11, 2015 I haven't checked the logs. I'll try again and look. As for the metadata, I only have whatever the deafaults are from the install. But I will look and see about disabling some.
dranderson402 31 Posted December 11, 2015 Author Posted December 11, 2015 (edited) Trying again now. It's been running for about 25 minutes or so and it's actually up to 65.5%. I looked in the logs and I don't seem to see any errors other than this one which is repeated many times. Error App: Error getting response from http://172.16.254.3:6547/getDeviceDesc I don't even use that IP subnet. Edited December 11, 2015 by dranderson402
dranderson402 31 Posted December 11, 2015 Author Posted December 11, 2015 Well, it was stuck at 65.7% for over an hour. I tried to open the log file but my system was extremely slow to respond so I tried to stop the scan. The scan said it was stopping for another 30 minutes so I then tried to stop the emby service. My system quickley became unresponsive so I attempted to reboot it. Problem is I was doing all this remotely via VNC and now the system hasn't returned. So it will have to wait till I get home from work and hard boot it.
