runtimesandbox 171 Posted December 9, 2015 Posted December 9, 2015 (edited) Is it possible to get Intel Quick Sync working on ubuntu 14 x64 with an intel i5 4000 series cpu? It had been in my play back settings long before it was announced and I had it turned on (i never confirmed it was working, just assumed it was) Since the update where it was publicised having it turned on meant none of my videos would transcode and playback so I had to turn it off. Is it possible to get it working on Linux and if so is there any information on how to do this? Edited December 9, 2015 by spudy12
hurricanehrndz 149 Posted December 9, 2015 Posted December 9, 2015 (edited) There is no documentation, but I believe you would need to supply your ffmpeg version that is compiled for intel quick sync. You might want to check this thread out to get more details about the ffmpeg: http://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/10723-gpu-transcoding-intel-quicksync-and-nvidia-nvenc/ Edited December 9, 2015 by hurricanehrndz 1
