Koleckai Silvestri 1154 Posted December 9, 2015 Posted December 9, 2015 Not sure file duplication would solve the problem that you're looking to solve. All it will do is eat storage space. What apps are your having the problem in? Those apps probably need more caching control on the device.

ebr 16187 Posted December 9, 2015 Posted December 9, 2015 Images are already cached in a number of places so this isn't really going to accomplish anything other than taking up more space.

Koleckai Silvestri 1154 Posted December 10, 2015 Posted December 10, 2015 (edited) Your configuration is going to cause latency just from Internet Routing. If you're using larger images (1500 X 1000 posters, 1920 X 1080) backdrops that aren't optimized for downloading, you're going to have issues. Some of my images are 5-7 megabytes in size before optimizing them. That is a lot of data to pull down and would eat up a 6 megabit/second upload speed. Are you sure you don't mean 6 Megabytes (MB as opposed to mb)? I have everything internal and my Rokus are wired at 1 gigabit / second and they still have a slight delay in loading images sometimes. The web client is a lot better at local caching so it fares better. Edited December 10, 2015 by Koleckai Silvestri

Happy2Play 9783 Posted December 10, 2015 Posted December 10, 2015 Have seen the caching in the current dev cycle? http://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/27758-305803-chrome/
