Does Fast Forward work when Transcoding?

I'm using Xbox One to play my WMC recordings.  The files play, ffmpeg process runs on the server, so the recordings are being transcoded.  But I can not fast forward a recording. 

 

Is this normal?

 

Is there a way to make fast forward function?  I just play back the .wtv files and fast forward thru commercials. 

 

I used to use xbox 360 as Media Center Extender, so this is new for me.

As a fellow Xbox one DLNA user I haven't had very much luck with fast forward and rewind.

 

However, the chapters which emby extracts and the resume functions work quite well. It gets me c to were I left off, or close to a part I want to re watch.

I have never noticed chapters on xbox. Where should i look for those?

 

If fast forward is not an option, is there software that will automatically remove commercials from the .wtv file?
