xccxxx 11 Posted December 7, 2015 Posted December 7, 2015 Most of my collection is named in the following way Movie.Title.Year.Resolution e.g Finding.Nemo.2003.720p or Finding.Nemo.2003.360p I've noticed that if emby sees the tags after the year as being 1080p, 720p or 480p it will correctly ignore it and on import it grabs the correct metadata and names the movie properly But for lower resolution stuff like Finding.Nemo.2003.360p it is not identified and no metadata is loaded. (the filename is all that shows in emby with no poster etc) Is there a way to tell Emby to ignore those tags (360p, 240p etc) like it does with the higher res stuff, or do I need to rename all my lower resolution files in a different way? Cheers!
ebr 16187 Posted December 7, 2015 Posted December 7, 2015 Emby is not ignoring those tags it is reading them and creating resolution-specific versions of the items (see our naming conventions for multi-resolution support). So, I guess what we recognize for those needs to be expanded.
xccxxx 11 Posted December 7, 2015 Author Posted December 7, 2015 Thanks, I'll go ahead and rename those low res files so they get picked up correctly.
