jwill 28 Posted December 8, 2013 Posted December 8, 2013 (edited) MBS Version 3.0.5083.27698 I had a movie in an MKV container with chapters that turned out to be incorrect. MBS had already fully scanned the movie, downloaded metadata, and extracted chapter images before I noticed the problem. So I updated the MKV file with different chapter stops (different times for each chapter, different number of chapters). Then I deleted everything in the movie folder except the MKV file (all metadata gone). Finally, I forced a "Scan media library" task which updated the metadata, then I forced "Chapter image extraction". After that task completed, I checked the MBS-extracted-chapters with MBC, and it showed the old chapter times and images, even though the MPC-HC player clearly showed the new number of chapters and new chapter times. Luke 42077 Posted December 8, 2013 Posted December 8, 2013 has the last date modified of the mkv changed?
jwill 28 Posted December 8, 2013 Author Posted December 8, 2013 (edited) has the last date modified of the mkv changed? Yes. Also the size is a few bytes different. Edited December 8, 2013 by jwill
jwill 28 Posted December 8, 2013 Author Posted December 8, 2013 (edited) Size doesn't matter . I know you are partly joking, but in all seriousness, if you are recording the last modified times of files, it could also make sense to record the size of files, just as an additional check on whether they have changed (since the mtime could be doctored or just incorrect). Luke 42077 Posted December 8, 2013 Posted December 8, 2013 just refresh the item from the edit page and that should take care of it
jwill 28 Posted December 8, 2013 Author Posted December 8, 2013 just refresh the item from the edit page and that should take care of it True, that did update the chapters. But shouldn't Media Browser Server handle that itself, without manual intervention?
jwill 28 Posted December 8, 2013 Author Posted December 8, 2013 yea just giving you a workaround for now Oh, okay. Thank you.
