DrWatson 62 Posted December 5, 2015 Posted December 5, 2015 (edited) I have a few files in my failed chapter text where emby has tried to extract an image at the very end of the file For example (see image) this movie is 1:30:22 and it gets added to the fail text and shows a blank image at 1:30:00 perhaps emby should be a bit smarter with the extraction and not list a chapter or try an extraction that is within 5 mins of the end of the video. Edit: I also noticed that there is a file that has a chapter listed at 2:00:21 where the duration of the video is only 2:00:00 there is a blank chapter image at 2:00:21 shown in the webclient (and possibly others) maybe emby should just ignore chapters past the end of the video. Happy2Play 9783 Posted December 5, 2015 Posted December 5, 2015 (edited) Are the chapters created by Emby or are they embed in the file? What does the duration say at the top of the page? There does appear to be a slight difference in calculations. Edited December 5, 2015 by Happy2Play
DrWatson 62 Posted December 5, 2015 Author Posted December 5, 2015 (edited) Created by emby, duration says 91 mins but it is actually 90 mins and 22 sec. Irrelevant of the reported duration can you see a point to extracting a chapter image 22 seconds (or even 1 min) before the end of a video? It would save me a considerable amount of space and time in extraction if it were to just simply ignore the last chapter of any file similarly what is the point in having a 00:00:00 chapter if i want to start at the start I will do so by hitting play. ebr 16187 Posted December 5, 2015 Posted December 5, 2015 similarly what is the point in having a 00:00:00 chapter If you are already playing the video and wish to skip back to the beginning.
DrWatson 62 Posted December 5, 2015 Author Posted December 5, 2015 If you are already playing the video and wish to skip back to the beginning Fair point, but the last chapter still remains superfluous.
