Network share access denied..

so.. EMBY is giving my auto organized errors saying the network resource where I want it to look for programming to auto organize is located.

the share is fully reachable.. and the log in auto organize does show that it is reaching it.

but this error keeps showing up

 

any thoughts?

from Emby server's point of view, those paths are unreachable. since you're running the windows service you need to configure permissions for the user the service runs under, or just use the regular tray icon

Had the same problem under Windows Server Essentials 2016. Even though the service is configured as in the link above, Emby couldn't write to the directories over the network. To solve this, the server is configured to use local drive mapping and I use path substitution to allow other devices to find the media.

 

With that change everything works properly.

I think I remember reading that about having it as a service.
