Question about tv show metadata

Hello, I was wondering it the old folder structure for tv series has changed or I'm doing something wrong. Before it was

Show folder

 /seasons

               /hidden metedata folder

                epiosde 1

                epiosed 2.....

Now insted of all the images and xml files being stored in the hidden folder, now everything is group together in same folder.

I'm also getting nfo files even after I've turn them off.

I aslo notice name changes for the images fanart insted of backdrop, landscape insted of thumb.

If this is the new structure I need to use that's fine. No biggy. Just wondering if I can or should remove the older files so that I don't have more than one of the same thing and save space. Thanks guys!

Both are supported so you don't need to change anything, but we do save in that new format to increase compatibility with other software

Ok, that make sense Luke. Thanks for letting me know. I don't use any other software other than WMC and the web browser so I don't think I need all these extra files being downloaded to my hard drives. Can I just have one or the other? Or I am stuck with both?

You can get rid of the XML

Ok dose that mean I can go ahead and delete the old system all together? I don't want I files hording hard drive space if I don't need them any longer.

It will use your existing metadata if it is there. My suggestion is to not do anything at all.

Are you still saving artwork and metadata to media folders?  Or having it save locally?  (Dashboard-Metadata)

I have them stored with the media files.

I am also getting tv series metadata that is locked. It looks ramdom, some eneded series and some the are still going on. I am unaware that I have changed any settings that might have caused this, but I suppose I could have done something.
