utah-dave 5 Posted December 2, 2015 Posted December 2, 2015 I have updated my emby server to the new ver. and love the new look. But I can not stream moves any more. I even have formatted my server and did a fresh install of emby server. and still wont stream. any ideal on why it did work and now no longer. This is in the web browser, all my ports are open, I can log in no problem.
Luke 42083 Posted December 2, 2015 Posted December 2, 2015 Hi, for playback issues please see how to report a problem so that we can best help you. Thanks.
utah-dave 5 Posted December 8, 2015 Author Posted December 8, 2015 I read over the log and its seams that file:E:\Movies\Kids\Finding Nemo (2003): Permission denied. I bet you that is what my problem is. I don't understand why thoe. I have allowed guest to that folder and I am the owner of the folder. This is on a server 2012 r2 system. Dose emby need some sort of permissions in order to play the moves off the folder?
utah-dave 5 Posted December 8, 2015 Author Posted December 8, 2015 it is set to have read access. but dose emby use any kind of user or group for the files. I have set read
Luke 42083 Posted December 8, 2015 Posted December 8, 2015 No, look at the user the server process is running under.
utah-dave 5 Posted December 8, 2015 Author Posted December 8, 2015 Ya I am a loss. there is no restrictions on the folder what so ever. here is my log http://utah-dave.com:8096/emby/videos/387fc06678067d032c53d0877fe6cca0/hls1/main/0.ts?DeviceId=956be8b7f573db30ec297d8967c2280be946a9ee&MediaSourceId=387fc06678067d032c53d0877fe6cca0&VideoCodec=h264&AudioCodec=aac&VideoBitrate=6901438&AudioBitrate=320000&MaxAudioChannels=6&MaxHeight=1080&Level=41&Profile=high&PlaySessionId=53e00aa9bc6a42a4999a3da0ddabc847&api_key=1d6136d760db411986e508e0ed3988cc&EnableAutoStreamCopy=false {"Protocol":"File","Id":"387fc06678067d032c53d0877fe6cca0","Path":"E:\\Movies\\Famliy\\Apple Dumpling Gang","Type":"Default","Name":"DVD","RunTimeTicks":60248660000,"ReadAtNativeFramerate":false,"SupportsTranscoding":true,"SupportsDirectStream":false,"SupportsDirectPlay":true,"RequiresOpening":false,"RequiresClosing":false,"VideoType":"Dvd","MediaStreams":[],"PlayableStreamFileNames":[],"Formats":[],"RequiredHttpHeaders":{}} C:\Users\daveorn\AppData\Roaming\Emby-Server\ffmpeg\20151111\ffmpeg.exe -i file:"E:\Movies\Famliy\Apple Dumpling Gang" -map_metadata -1 -threads 0 -sn -codec:v:0 libx264 -pix_fmt yuv420p -preset superfast -crf 23 -b:v 6901438 -maxrate 6901438 -bufsize 13802876 -vsync vfr -profile:v high -level 41 -force_key_frames "expr:gte(t,n_forced*3)" -vf "scale=trunc(oh*a/2)*2:min(ih\,1080)" -flags -global_header -sc_threshold 0 -codec:a:0 aac -strict experimental -ac 6 -ab 320000 -af "adelay=1,aresample=async=1" -hls_time 3 -start_number 0 -hls_list_size 0 -y "F:\Transcoding\transcoding-temp\369b43e1080b9d7ba58816713e2fb14e.m3u8" ffmpeg version N-76598-g2905c51 Copyright © 2000-2015 the FFmpeg developers built with gcc 5.2.0 (GCC) configuration: --arch=x86_64 --target-os=mingw32 --cross-prefix=/home/mceuser/ffmpeg-windows-build-helpers/sandbox/mingw-w64-x86_64/bin/x86_64-w64-mingw32- --pkg-config=pkg-config --disable-w32threads --enable-gpl --enable-libsoxr --enable-fontconfig --enable-libass --enable-libutvideo --enable-libbluray --enable-iconv --enable-libtwolame --extra-cflags=-DLIBTWOLAME_STATIC --enable-libzvbi --enable-libcaca --enable-libmodplug --extra-libs=-lstdc++ --extra-libs=-lpng --enable-libvidstab --enable-libx265 --enable-decklink --extra-libs=-loleaut32 --enable-libx264 --enable-libxvid --enable-libmp3lame --enable-version3 --enable-zlib --enable-librtmp --enable-libvorbis --enable-libtheora --enable-libspeex --enable-libopenjpeg --enable-gnutls --enable-libgsm --enable-libfreetype --enable-libopus --enable-frei0r --enable-filter=frei0r --enable-libvo-aacenc --enable-bzlib --enable-libxavs --enable-libopencore-amrnb --enable-libopencore-amrwb --enable-libvo-amrwbenc --enable-libschroedinger --enable-libvpx --enable-libilbc --enable-libwavpack --enable-libwebp --enable-libgme --enable-dxva2 --enable-libdcadec --enable-avisynth --enable-gray --enable-libmfx --extra-libs=-lpsapi --extra-cflags= --enable-static --disable-shared --prefix=/home/mceuser/ffmpeg-windows-build-helpers/sandbox/mingw-w64-x86_64/x86_64-w64-mingw32 --enable-runtime-cpudetect libavutil 55. 5.100 / 55. 5.100 libavcodec 57. 15.100 / 57. 15.100 libavformat 57. 14.100 / 57. 14.100 libavdevice 57. 0.100 / 57. 0.100 libavfilter 6. 15.100 / 6. 15.100 libswscale 4. 0.100 / 4. 0.100 libswresample 2. 0.101 / 2. 0.101 libpostproc 54. 0.100 / 54. 0.100file:E:\Movies\Famliy\Apple Dumpling Gang: Permission denied
Luke 42083 Posted December 8, 2015 Posted December 8, 2015 if you are running the server as a service then try just running from the tray icon
Luke 42083 Posted December 8, 2015 Posted December 8, 2015 Ok, unfortunately because this is environment-specific, I can't tell you why ffmpeg is unable to access your media paths. All I can tell is it that it can't access them - whether that's due to permissions, unreachable path, corrupted disk, etc, that's not something that we can fix for you.
utah-dave 5 Posted December 8, 2015 Author Posted December 8, 2015 I don't feel its environment specific. All I have done was an upgrade, then when that did not work format and reinstall. The disk are new and my windows media center plays just find with them. using the old media browser. I will have to dig some more. thanks anyways for the help
