mcollins354 0 Posted December 1, 2015 Posted December 1, 2015 Wondering if someone can help me with my continued Emby server crashing issue. I am getting the memory exception error every day or so. I can restart the Emby server, and it works fine. (Actually, a week ago, I had to restart the entire computer every time if I wanted Emby to restart, but I think a latest Emby server update must have addressed this - thank you!!). The only other thing I have done: I read somewhere that I may have had too many files in my library? So I trimmed the library files by deleting my photos and music which, combined, has tens of thousands of files. But the server seemed to keep crashing with the same error. I have uploaded my log from this morning. Let me know what else is needed. I did not get a screen shot of the error, but I hope the log will tell someone what they need. Thanks in advance for your help log.txt log.txt
Luke 42083 Posted December 1, 2015 Posted December 1, 2015 Hi, this log looks fine, so we really need to see the error. thanks.
mcollins354 0 Posted December 1, 2015 Author Posted December 1, 2015 Thanks for checking and I am uploading a new log file that has the error. Sorry for the last attachment. Thanks for your help! logerror.txt
Luke 42083 Posted December 1, 2015 Posted December 1, 2015 but please always supply complete log files. thanks.
mcollins354 0 Posted December 1, 2015 Author Posted December 1, 2015 Thanks and I can easily upload a zip file of the 20 logs files (about 110 MB, but zipped to be 7 MB) in the hidden folder that contains them. I know you recommend not zipping files, but I didn't know the best way to do this. If you want, I can copy and paste the text into Paste2? If so, should I do all 20 text files?
ebr 16187 Posted December 1, 2015 Posted December 1, 2015 We don't want 20 log files. Just the one that contains the error - but the entire file.
mcollins354 0 Posted December 1, 2015 Author Posted December 1, 2015 Gotcha. So there are two files that I attached that (I think) are around the time of the error. The larger one must have something that is helpful. The smaller one seems to be the log file after the server crashed. Sorry for the back and forth - never uploaded a log file, so this is new to me. I had to zip them to stay under the 10 MB limit. Thanks for your help. unhandled_a490aff7-8534-4a12-b87e-aa4490e45500.zip
mcollins354 0 Posted December 2, 2015 Author Posted December 2, 2015 Can you let me know if I need to upload different files? These are the two around the crash. Thanks.
ebr 16187 Posted December 2, 2015 Posted December 2, 2015 Do you have a large number of Live TV channels? I imagine we may be dealing with this.
thelew74 0 Posted December 2, 2015 Posted December 2, 2015 I am having problems connecting to my server using the android app. Can anybody help me.
mcollins354 0 Posted December 2, 2015 Author Posted December 2, 2015 I think i have around 500 channels? Maybe just under? I don't know if that is a lot or not. Any temporary work arounds you suggest, if you think this is the cause? Should i have have the guide update every other day as a previous post suggests?
ebr 16187 Posted December 2, 2015 Posted December 2, 2015 Yeah, that's probably it then. Do you really watch all 500? If not, you could use your tuner to exclude ones you don't care about until we get the issues with large lineups lined out.
