Sorahl 6 Posted November 30, 2015 Posted November 30, 2015 So.. I'm still working on fixing my entire dvd structure (under old version of MB I somehow had it working with having the ripped dvd in a titled root directory rather than in a Video_TS folder). I have been moving, slowly.. since there are so many, all my discs to follow this format Disc Title Video_TS DISC FILES In my TV Box Sets I've been doing this format SHOW Season Season Disc 1 Video_TS Season Disc 2 Video_TS etc etc What is appearing is SHOW SEASON Video_TS Season Disc 1 etc etc the extra Video_TS without any content is being created in the same folder as the Season discs ok so... what does it matter? when I go in to Emby in WMC and got the TV Box Set folder, then to the Series.. it comes up with an initial Video_TS (no pic, no name, no detail...etc) that I must click on before getting to the series. any idea what i'm doing wrong??
Sorahl 6 Posted November 30, 2015 Author Posted November 30, 2015 one more example where i'm seeing this other NameSeasonUnknown folder but in a different presentation than above. In this one I have the CORRECT link for Season 1 but an additional NameSeasonUknown that is not necessary
ebr 16187 Posted November 30, 2015 Posted November 30, 2015 Since you are going through all of this I really, really encourage you to look into changing those into a true video file format (use makemkv or similar). You will eliminate all of these headaches and gain a lot better functionality not only in our system but with everything. We tried to maintain compatibility with disc rips but they are becoming more and more rare and less and less supported by everything. Especially when you're talking about TV.
Sorahl 6 Posted November 30, 2015 Author Posted November 30, 2015 that is something I can think about for the future. I have every disc I've ripped catalogued in boxes in the media closet. I just like preserving the DVD experience without the hassle of digging the disc out (or damanging it) each time.
