MB3 Server Web Browser Issues

Hi,

 

I'm not sure if anyone has addressed the following couple of problem when running the server dashboard in ie11 or Chrome:

 

1. If Chrome is the Default Browser:

 

If you right click and MB3 icon and select "Configure Media Browser" or "Browse Library" you get this message:

 

 

This works fine if ie11 is the Default Browser.

2. In ie11

 

If you "Add Task Trigger", the time fields to be filled do not appear.

The time picker is using the HTML 5 time input. Microsoft has chosen not to provide any special presentation for it in Internet Explorer.

 

So thank them, not me 

 

Compare the following page in chrome and IE

I'm a Chrome user myself. So if the first problem can be resolved there will be no need to use ie at all.

Given that I don't think any one on the dev team has seen the 1st issue (well i personally haven't and have seen no one ever mention it before). I can only suggest it may well be unique to your system.

There's nothing we can do about the first one. We are telling the operating system to open the default browser at a given url, and it's failing. a good test would be to make sure double clicking an html file in my computer opens chrome.

Having same error message as 1 above when chrome is selected as default browser in windows 8.1

Restart of PC once a reselect of chrome as default has resolved this.
