quickett 3 Posted November 23, 2015 Posted November 23, 2015 Server OS - Server 2012 r2 running current stable release. Clients - Android Emby app, chrome browser, ios browser. I am attempting to connect to my server externally, but I'm running into the following issues; 1. I am unable to log in with my Android phone using the web interface and port 8920. Also unable to log in with the Emby app. 2. None of my guests who were previously able to connect are able to connect either. Whenever trying to connect to my server the same "check to see if server is running" message appears. I have had them delete and reaccept invites to no avail. They are still unable to connect. 3. When I was able to connect to my server I was able to browse my libraries, but I was unable to play any media. Would get playback error messed each time (dashboard states that it started and stopped) I have checked port availability with canyouseeme, it shows both 8096 & 8920 are open. I have enabled envy server through the Windows firewall. Dashboard states server is running and up to date. What can the issue be? server-63583882136.txt
Luke 42083 Posted November 23, 2015 Posted November 23, 2015 It appears ssl related. the default self-signed cert that we use has not really been perfected yet. for now you'll either need a trusted cert or just use http.
quickett 3 Posted November 23, 2015 Author Posted November 23, 2015 How do I change the server to use http?
Luke 42083 Posted November 23, 2015 Posted November 23, 2015 Well if you don't know the answer to that question, then that means it must still be defaulting to http. So go to the front page of the server dashboard and check the external address that is displayed. It should be an http address. Use that address for external connectivity.
quickett 3 Posted November 23, 2015 Author Posted November 23, 2015 Figured it out, restarting now to see if it fixed it.
