General - TVShow Time

There's an app called TVShow Time which allows users to keep track of the shows that they watch, mark them as watched and it notifies them when a new episode is out.

 

I was wondering if you could integrate a feature where it automatically marks it as read on the app if it is watched on Emby and if it is marked as watched on the app, it is also marked watched on emby.

The interface is much better... And they have a own app..

I use trakt and is perfect but the ux of tvtime is another question..

I started to create the plugin copiyng the trakt code.. Is very similar..

 

But I think you must request a code specific for emby..

Registering your app

OAuth2 is a protocol that lets external apps request authorization to private details in a user’s TV Time account without getting their password. This is preferred over Basic Authentication because tokens can be limited to specific types of data, and can be revoked by users at any time.

All developers need to register their application before getting started. A registered OAuth application is assigned a unique Client ID and Client Secret. The Client Secret should not be shared.

Note that we don't provide API access for personal usage.

If I've understand what tvtime say, for the oauth2 I have to request him the API key..

for the basic autentication..

the difference are much more than expected...

 

the knowledge required are not in my possibility for now..

so I give up..

 

if someone want to try in my opinion the plugin as to be wrote from zero..

Hi, i would also like to have a plugin for TV time ! This app is so great!

@@Luke i have a question, for now there is no plugin for TV time, but i see on their website that Kodi addons already exist -> https://kodi.wiki/view/Add-on:TVShow_Time

 

Im currently using Emby for kodi addon at home, do you think that Emby for Kodi + TV time kodi addon can work together ? 

(i will try anyway when i get back home, but just to know if you have an idea   ?)

 

EDIT: Okay forget that kodi addons idea, it is not working unfortunately... I would like to be able to create that plugin for emby by myself but i don't know anything about that... lets wait and see

Do you think someone can take this as an example to develop plugin for Emby ? Is it similar or something totally different ?

UPDATE: Guys i've done some more test and i can confirm that emby for kodi addons + tv time addon on Kodi are working together !

It is working only for tv shows but not for movies.

 

Fot tv time addon on kodi -> The version 1.1.2 available in official kodi repo is not working!! Please make sure to download the latest version (1.2.4 today) ZIP here https://github.com/alxlaxv/script.tvtime/releases and install it manually !
