Luis 41 Posted November 16, 2015 Posted November 16, 2015 I have a small issue with one of my series. The series name is Shomin Sample [TvdbId:284073], and because of that the episodes that are named "Shomin Sample - S01E01.mkv" are not being tracked within the Emby server. The reason is because sample is part of the name of the file. Is there a way to avoid the exclusion?
ebr 16187 Posted November 16, 2015 Posted November 16, 2015 Try renaming the show folder to just "Shomin" and also remove the show name (or at least "sample") from the episode files. Then use the identify feature to properly identify the series.
Luis 41 Posted November 16, 2015 Author Posted November 16, 2015 I was hoping there was another way. Because that would break the auto organize functionality for the new files (organized by sonarr). I'll have to manually modify the files as they are added. But ok... Hopefully no more series in the future have sample in the name....
ebr 16187 Posted November 16, 2015 Posted November 16, 2015 You may not need to re-name the show folder so try just removing the show name from the actual episodes first. You could setup Sonarr to not include the show name in the episode files...
Luke 42083 Posted November 16, 2015 Posted November 16, 2015 it currently blocks everything with sample in the name but there is an open request to allow this to be configured: https://github.com/MediaBrowser/Emby/issues/1139 So maybe you can propose how to proceed. we could whitelist by folder, or by name.
