sam600sx 0 Posted November 16, 2015 Posted November 16, 2015 A little back ground first. My server was first setup with win 7, and used as server/HTPC. I then got a wild hair, and upgraded it to Win10. Hence my install of Emby server. Now for the problem I am encountering. My movie collection is an assortment of Blu-rays, standard def DVD's, and recorded movies. the problem is the aspect ratio is over scanning in normal mode. Example a file that is from a standard def DVD now is over scanned even in normal mode where as before it fit the screen perfectly. What am I missing?
bluemonkey07 590 Posted November 16, 2015 Posted November 16, 2015 Normal mode of what? What client are you referring to?
Solution AdrianW 1058 Posted November 16, 2015 Solution Posted November 16, 2015 If you're playing on a TV then check your TV zoom settings - make sure it's on JUST or whatever your manufacturer calls 1:1 pixel mapping. 16:9 mode on most TVs will zoom the image slightly and cause the outer edges to be cropped. 1
sam600sx 0 Posted November 16, 2015 Author Posted November 16, 2015 Adrian, Thanks for your reply. I knew it had to be something simple. Turned the tv to set by program, and am back to fitting the screen again. In the old MB I had set the TV to 16:9. Thanks again!
