Sparrowlogins 18 Posted November 15, 2015 Posted November 15, 2015 Hey, I have been having a few issues recently with my Emby. The server app used to reside on my desktop machine but recently, added items have not been showing metadata, instead being black and blank (although still playing up until last week), Coverart was not letting me remove a new profile created and everything has become a little slow to start. I was also seeing some server crashes and some EMBY Theatre could not process you request errors. My media is on a QNap nas, which I can access via Windows explorer, and all my media seems to play via vlc, Windows media player and Stereoscopic player for 3D externally over the network, both Ethernet and wireless using these other programs. I have also checked all of my IP address to make sure each is a different one (Its DHCP, I have in the past found clashes) I have added emby server to the firewall to allow through etc and can access the sever via client apps internally, but cannot play anything. My old installation of emby server was also taking over 24 hours to rescan the library, although I had set some of the settings like the auto update of TVDB etc. to on. This has only happened for the last month, before this my setup has been perfect. I have also fully uninstalled Emby Theatre and reinstalled on each machine to eliminate any Theatre issues or plugin cache issues as a cause. With the old server, I can browse my collection. Anything less than a month old has no metadata. I can see scenes and click play but receive an error processing request to play. I decided to install Emby Server on little 2gb ram acer dumb client with Windows 10 on, which uses less power and sits in the basement out of the way. I did a fresh install and a new server name - so that I had my old one as a backup. When opening up the server 8096:localhost page on windows 10 edge browser, it sometimes does not appear for me to configure anything, the page is blank ( this may be an edge problem) Last night I left it 15 hours scanning my library of around 20tb of stuff and this morning uninstalled Emby theatre fully, reinstalled on my desktop and tried to log in to the new server. Again, None of my metadata shows even though its saved within the media folders on the nas and I can plainly see it when using windows explorer. The folders view is also gone (This may just be me not noticing where to switch it on from a new server) and clicking on any view gives me about 4 could no process your request errors before the blank titles show up. Clicking a movie or TV Show still results in seeing the play icon but receiving an error and nothing playing. With this is mind, can someone tell me what Logs I need to turn on and send in order for this to be sorted. Its very frustrating as Emby has been perfect for me for years until this point, but now has stopped. Have I set something which has caused an issue or a problem? ( Moved house recently, but has been working in the new place for a month before everything stopped)
