VIDEO_TS not playing since update

Dear members,

Since the last (or last two) update(s) of Emby server (I'm now using Versie 3.0.5781.1) I'm unable to play my DVD rips (VIDEO_TS folders)

This does apply to all my devices but the HTPC on which Emby server is running.

Here they play fine from Media Browser plugin for Win MCe.

All my movies in other formats like MKV's or AVI's are still working.

I'm using the Emby client on an Android Galaxy S4, a Win7 laptop and iPad 4. All with the same problem.

If I open a movie that is stored on my NAS in VIDEO_TS format, I get the following message (or nothing is happening at all, just the blank screen)

Playback Error

There was an error processing the request. Please try again later

Anyone experiencing the same problem?

Thanks for your support,K
kind regards,

Mark

Hi there. For media playback issues, please see  how to report a problem to provide more information.

Please also be aware that the ability to transcode folder rip structures is considered an experimental feature and will not work with all titles.

Hello,

is have similar Problems. I cannot play VIDEO_TS. There is only the error (translated from german):

"video error: there was an error while playing the video"

In German: "Video Fehler. Es gab einen Fehler bei der Videowiedergabe"

This is the same with all VIDEO_TS-Movies.

file:/mnt/data2/admin/Filme/Historien/ROBIN_HOOD: Is a directory

The Movie is fully identified:

564c607404947_Unbenannt.jpg

In /mnt/data2/admin/Filme/Historien/ROBIN_HOOD theres is the directory VIDEO_TS with the IFO and VOB.

My Setup:

Ubuntu server with Emby Version 3.0.5781.2

It seems that Emby does not want to play the movie, but the directory!?

well, we're supposed to be recording the path to the vob files and passing those into ffmpeg, not the folder itself

Is this problem fixed? In my current Version 3.0.5781.8 VOBs are still not working.

Try refreshing the content in the web interface

I can confirm, that it works in version 3.0.5781.8, after refreshing the web interface.

Thank you for quick fixing the error.
