ejrodn1290 5 Posted November 8, 2015 Posted November 8, 2015 (edited) HELP!! My MB intros has stop working correctly, I can no longer add single file intros any more after updating to Version 3.0.5781.0 and also 3.0.5790.100 (It was working just fine after these last two updates). I can add MB trailers and my collections, but not any of the other intros any more. Edited November 9, 2015 by ejrodn1290 1
ebr 16169 Posted November 9, 2015 Posted November 9, 2015 The first thing you should do is see if you can just use the built in Cinema Mode instead as that is the direction we are going for the future. If not, then you will need to provide a bit more information about what "can no longer add" means.
ebr 16169 Posted November 9, 2015 Posted November 9, 2015 Is MBIntros still supported/downloadable? It was removed from the catalog a while back.

Everything at the top intros(in the order they will play) is all I can add and all the rest in the ADD INTROS.....I can't!! Edited November 9, 2015 by ejrodn1290 1
ebr 16169 Posted November 9, 2015 Posted November 9, 2015 You still didn't say what "can't add" means. As in, "I click on this and xxx happens". But, what are you trying to do that the built-in cinema mode can't accomplish?
Xzener 729 Posted November 9, 2015 Posted November 9, 2015 What I dislike about Cinema Mode is it can't display intros for specific codecs. MBIntros was AWESOME in that area. I'd sure like to see either Cinema Mode enhanced, or MBIntros make a comeback to the catalog with an updated (wasn't working for me either, was going to ask for help but noticed it wasn't in the catalog) version. If I could get my hands on it, perhaps I could help test/troubleshoot?? 1
Xzener 729 Posted November 9, 2015 Posted November 9, 2015 From what I remember, if you click an option to add and configure... It would do nothing.

When I try to add specific intros from my files it want let me do that anymore/all the add on intros that are left to choose from want work anymore (click an option to add and configure... It want do nothing) like Xzener says!! Edited November 10, 2015 by ejrodn1290 1

ebr 16169 Posted November 10, 2015 Posted November 10, 2015 Okay, I'm sorry but I guess some of the server changes recently have broken its configuration. You should try to make the built in cinema mode do what you want until we expand that functionality.
Xzener 729 Posted November 10, 2015 Posted November 10, 2015 (edited) MBIntros was leaps and bounds what Cinema Mode is today... If it had codec support, there would be no need for MBIntros. Unfortunately, that is not the case. IMO, Intros was dropped prematurely. @@Luke any plans to add codec intro support to Cinema Mode please?? Edited November 10, 2015 by Xzener 2
Spaceboy 2573 Posted November 10, 2015 Posted November 10, 2015 I've already said this elsewhere but cinema mode isn't even 50% of what intros was. Less fun is having to guess that these features have been withdrawn because they just stop working. 2
Xzener 729 Posted November 10, 2015 Posted November 10, 2015 Ebr, is it fixable?? A rerelease would be greatly appreciated... Or at least helping convince Luke to upgrade, although we all know he is WAY to busy at the moment.
djlf 40 Posted November 10, 2015 Posted November 10, 2015 why cant we have the ability to play individual custom intros? why does it have to pick random in cinema mode? MB Intros is much better. Please fix it or give cinema mode better functionality. Lately it seems for every step forward with server releases the overall emby experience takes a step backwards - I include IOS APP and Emby Theatre in this feeling. 2
djlf 40 Posted November 14, 2015 Posted November 14, 2015 so any chance of getting the same functionality of MB Intros into cinema mode? I have custom intros that I have setup to play in a particular order - Cinema mode doesn't allow this - playing random intros makes no sense in terms of customisation. Luke - EBR any answer to this? Can the plugin be fixed?
Luke 42077 Posted November 14, 2015 Posted November 14, 2015 The plugin is deprecated because we just do not have the time and resources to support multiple ways of accomplishing the same things. The features in cinema mode are a reflection of what we feel the vast majority of users want. If you would like to see it expanded upon, then please create a feature request topic so that we can assess the demand for it. Thanks.
djlf 40 Posted November 14, 2015 Posted November 14, 2015 Folks have added feature request for this , please go to Features Request forunm and add support for this
Mopar_Mudder 14 Posted November 27, 2015 Posted November 27, 2015 Boy I wish I would have known this ahead of time. I recently reconfigured MB Intro's to use the trailer plug in instead of my own downloaded trailers, that was a mistake cause MB Trailers plays all jerky. Now I can't get MB Intros back to where it was because clicking on add does nothing. Don't ask my to use cinema mode, it is like a red headed step child next to intros !!!!
Mopar_Mudder 14 Posted November 30, 2015 Posted November 30, 2015 Just wanted to post a work around. You can go into the .xml file and manually put in the settings to play back random files from folders.
