Emby server for Windows versions

Hi,

 

In the server download section for Windows we can see the following:

 

Stable Release
3.0.5781.0

Latest Beta
3.0.5768.6

 

I have two questions:

 

- Is it normal that the Latest Beta version number is lower than the Stable Release version number?

- When I download Latest Beta 3.0.5768.6 and install it, the installation program automatically download 3.0.5781.0 version. Is it normal ? How may I use 3.0.5768.6 version?

The installer won't download a previous build.  Until there is a new beta build the latest is the stable release.  You'd have to switch your preferences to download dev builds to get something newer, assuming there is a newer dev build.

I understand.

In this case, if the Beta is older than the Stable release, it is useless and a bit confusing to display a download link for the Beta which is not usable.
A single link to the Stable version would be clearer.

The link is usable and it will get you the latest version.

 

It is just a display issue that has cropped up somehow with the web site.
