ryanvesely 0 Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 Hello, So I have an artist "Crystal Method" with two albums "Vegas" and "Legend of boom". The fields are both filled out accordingly for artist and album. Also the file structure is as music/artist/album. The songs are being put under the album "legend of boom" instead of spiting into the correct albums. I believe this maybe a bug. Thanks, Ryan
ryanvesely 0 Posted November 5, 2015 Author Posted November 5, 2015 Nope, each album is in its own folder under a folder of the artist name. i.e.... "crystal method/vegas/track1.mp3" or "crystal method/legond of boom/track1.mp3" the tracks have the id and id3 information filled out with album name and artist name.
ryanvesely 0 Posted November 6, 2015 Author Posted November 6, 2015 Screenshots attached. 1 = artiest content section 2 = 1st track from Legond of boom 3 = list under album Vegas which also includes legend of booms' album 4 = 1st track from Vegas (path: Techno/Vegas) 5 = Vegas album which is showing the root folder of the artist. the paths for the albums are: techno/crystalmethod/vegas/ techno/crystalmethod/legend of boom/ everything was automatically created when I added the content, I have not altered anything.
Luke 42077 Posted November 6, 2015 Posted November 6, 2015 those screenshots don't indicate an obvious problem. in the fist screenshot, if you click on the album, what does the next page look like?
ryanvesely 0 Posted November 6, 2015 Author Posted November 6, 2015 that leads into the Vegas album which includes both albums in one which is what the problem is. On the first page with the artist it does not show both albums, just vegas which also includes the content from the album legend of boom.
ryanvesely 0 Posted November 6, 2015 Author Posted November 6, 2015 funny enough Emby grabs the image art from legond of boom for the vegas album
ryanvesely 0 Posted November 6, 2015 Author Posted November 6, 2015 So there seems to be no explanation to this, but there were two songs in the parent directory of the artist that were misc.. I moved them out and down to the root directory (techno) and refreshed the library manually. Now everything shows up correctly and pulls the data correctly. Bug or no bug, I think that it should have pulled the data from the files and put them in the correct albums.
Luke 42077 Posted November 8, 2015 Posted November 8, 2015 as yes, that would do it. it would cause that parent folder to appear as an album, and then everything underneath is considered part of that album. yes there's definitely opportunity for us to improve this behavior.
