mit3gt 6 Posted October 30, 2015 Posted October 30, 2015 (edited) Hello. I am using a nexus player with a keyboard. Everything works fine when navigating around the app. Everything works as expected. However, when a video is playing the backspace key just brings up the player controls and does not go back to the previous screen. The only way to get out is to use alt+tab which kicks me out of emby completely and takes me to the Nexus home screen. Please note that the backspace key works fine when navigating around in Emby, I can back out of any section to the previous screen using the backspace key. ebr 16169 Posted October 30, 2015 Posted October 30, 2015 Well, I'm not sure what key your keyboard is sending. Is it designed for an Apple device such that maybe it is sending the "Delete" key?

mit3gt 6 Posted October 31, 2015 Author Posted October 31, 2015 Okay, I did some further testing. Its the escape key that goes back. Not the backspace key. The escape key controls going back in all the apps I tried (Emby, Netflix, Plex, Kodi, etc). Unfortunately, the problem still persists. I can open Emby and navigate around. If I need to go back at anytime, I just hit the escape key. The problem is once I am playing a video I cannot go back by hitting the escape key, the video just keeps playing. In essence, I am stuck, that is until I grab the Nexus remote in which the back button stops the video and goes back to the previous screen. I also have Plex. I can open Plex and navigate around. If I need to go back at anytime, I just hit the escape key. The same goes for playing video in Plex, If i press the escape key while playing a video, Plex will gracefully stop the video and go to the previous screen. Netflix works like this as well. I cannot get Emby to do this. I don't really want to use Plex. I would prefer to use Emby. I just need to figure out how to remedy this. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
ebr 16169 Posted October 31, 2015 Posted October 31, 2015 Your keyboard doesn't have a backspace key? Knowing now that it is a different key than what you had said I can look into it.
