Thumb folder for episodes changed?

Just recently I noticed that the 'thumbs' for the episodes has changed from the metadata folder to the episodes Season folder and appended _thumb to the name. Is this a toggle that can be changed or is this a permanent change? I've looked but haven't found anything on this.

you can still keep your thumbs in the old location. we recognize either location. we have only changed our default saving location in order to be more compatible with other apps.
