moviefan 187 Posted October 28, 2015 Posted October 28, 2015 I've been getting repeated crashes of my server lately. It happened again today and I went to look in the logs. I am seeing errors about being out of memory. My EMBY server is running on a a VM which had 8GB of RAM dedicated to it. Nothing else but Emby is running on it. I just upped the RAM to 16GB but this seems a bit high. Is that much really necessary for EMBY to run well? I've attached the log and the unhandled exception error and the related transcoding logs (zipped since there are so many). I was watching a movie via Roku at the time the crash happened this morning. And now looking at the logs it appears my brother logged in remotely from an iPad using a web browser and this coincided with the crash. His logging in with the iPad seems to have coincided with multiple crashes recently. Most of them when I was not actively using the system at the same time. Let me know if you have any thoughts. Thanks.
Happy2Play 9783 Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 Since Emby is a 32 bit app upping the ram won't make a difference. http://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/25852-memory-leak-with-guide-update/ 4GB Patch 1
Luke 42083 Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 try removing plugins and see if the problem persists

I've tried applying this patch and will see if I have less crashes.
