Beta to Public Release: ETA?! :)

Just wondering if there was a planned target date for public supported release outside of beta?  Or still too far out to tell?

For what?

 

The server and MBC are what I consider to be very stable and usable products at this point.  We are keeping the beta overall status on them right now just because things are continuing to change and new features implemented so fast.

 

Many of the other clients are pretty much out of "beta" and in their respective stores now too (WinPhone, Android, iOS and just now, Windows 8.1).

Sorry for the very late reply to this... I just moved from Oz to US and slowing getting back into the swing of things, catching up on mail, etc.

I was curious if there would be an official release "out of beta" as I was looking at purchasing a media server with some pre-configured software. Currently  they offer MB2 as part of the package, since I already run MB3 I asked if they'd be going to MB3... answer was, its still in beta so no.

 

It was a nice to have but overall I don't mind setting up my own software.  So may just opt for the hardware and do all the rest myself.

You can definitely do it yourself. The installation is quiet straight forward and the guides in the knowledge base are very good.

I would consider the server and MBC out of "Beta" now.  There will still be a lot of development and evolution but I think we have a very usable product in its current form.
