preed88 0 Posted October 27, 2015 Posted October 27, 2015 As I continue along my rebuild project, I continue to run into issues. I currently have three libraries added to my server: TV, Movies, and Music. TV and Music load cover art fine, but Movies is having a bunch of trouble. There are many missing icons all over the place for movies. Please see below: 3 When you hover over the movie you get this This is how my list looks: To attempt to remedy the issue, I figured a delete of the database would probably help, so I uninstalled and re-installed Emby server. No effect It seems its running into an error when attempting to serve the files, as evidenced by the snippet of the error log: 2015-10-27 17:52:18.0556 Error - HttpServer: Error processing request for /mediabrowser/Items/a6092f317dfb1f22fe2c1619e9e1177e/Images/Backdrop?maxWidth=500&tag=1a6b8194804392bfd60e1044a471abd5&enableImageEnhancers=true&quality=80*** Error Report ***Version: 3.0.5768.7Command line: /usr/lib/emby-server/MediaBrowser.Server.Mono.exe -programdata /var/lib/emby-server -restartpath /usr/lib/emby-server/restart.shOperating system: Unix 3.13.0.66Processor count: 664-Bit OS: True64-Bit Process: TrueProgram data path: /var/lib/emby-serverMono: 4.0.3 (Stable 4.0.3.20/d6946b4 Thu Aug 13 12:46:26 UTC 2015)Application Path: /usr/lib/emby-server/MediaBrowser.Server.Mono.exeFailed to read past end of stream.ServiceStack.HttpErrorNo Stack Trace Available

Luke 42077 Posted October 27, 2015 Posted October 27, 2015 appears to be a possible issue in mono: https://github.com/aspnet/Home/issues/498 i will make sure the server catches that error. 1

Sounds good. I'm a super noob at development but I guess that you'll have to add an exception to handle the error? Also, safe to say I need to start from scratch on this virtual machine again? Many thanks.
preed88 0 Posted October 28, 2015 Author Posted October 28, 2015 I tried a new install with CentOS..same result. Im actually surprised no one else is having this issue...
Luke 42077 Posted October 28, 2015 Posted October 28, 2015 sorry, to answer your question, i will be issuing an update that will catch that error in the next day or so. 1
preed88 0 Posted October 29, 2015 Author Posted October 29, 2015 sorry, to answer your question, i will be issuing an update that will catch that error in the next day or so. Thanks a bundle. Quick question: I restarted the virtual machine to give it more cores for transcoding, and the library was gone. I had to re-initialize the scanning and the library came back up. This wouldn't be much of an issue, but I have gone through the manual process of adding images to every movie and these changes are gone when it comes back online. Any ideas?
Luke 42077 Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 None come to mind. make sure that restarting your vm isn't causing data in any of the server's folders to get reset. 1
preed88 0 Posted October 30, 2015 Author Posted October 30, 2015 I applied the update, but unfortunately I still have over half the art not applying and I have to go in and change all the artwork manually. This is across both ubuntu and centos 7 installs. TV shows and music applies the art just fine.

Luke 42077 Posted November 2, 2015 Posted November 2, 2015 either something is wrong with some of your images or something is wrong with image magick. i do see this Empty input file `/media/movies/Jurassic.World.2015.BluRay.1080p.x264.DTS-HD.MA-HDC-poster.jpg' @ error/jpeg.c/JPEGErrorHandler/322 ImageMagickSharp.WandException
preed88 0 Posted November 2, 2015 Author Posted November 2, 2015 either something is wrong with some of your images or something is wrong with image magick. i do see this Empty input file `/media/movies/Jurassic.World.2015.BluRay.1080p.x264.DTS-HD.MA-HDC-poster.jpg' @ error/jpeg.c/JPEGErrorHandler/322 ImageMagickSharp.WandException That's what it was. Corrupted image files in the NAS that a previous installation attempted to save to the NAS. As to why it saved as 0kb, I am unsure. I have removed the 0 kb entries, but now I either have text art or random thumbnails. I would like Emby to rescan and re-do the images, and I have removed the library and re-added it under a differing name with no effect. Is there a way to manually make Emby rescan the database for images? Thanks for the help, I became a supporter because of it.
Luke 42077 Posted November 2, 2015 Posted November 2, 2015 Hi, thank you very much. In many cases the server will automatically retry during the next scan, but not in all cases. So just try running a normal scan, if that doesn't help you may need to use the refresh buttons throughout the UI.
