Marking Seasons Watched Does Nothing

Recommended Posts

Hello, when marking a season as watched, it does not do anything. It works if I do on episode level or show level. I store my media one folder per show. I tried this using the web client on both Chrome and Edge. I use Windows 10 x64.

I am running Server Version 3.0.5768.5.

Didn't have a problem here marking and unmarking seasons here in Chrome.  So you will need to post a log .

Do you have any missing episodes and have you enabled showing missing and unaired episodes? I thought I had this same problem but it turned out to be limited to seasons with missing episodes.

What I don't know is whether that behaviour is intentional or whether we should be able to mark missing episodes as watched?

Probably should be able to mark missing ones watched but not future ones...

I'll do up a bug report tonight then.

Here is a log of myself trying to mark at season level, also marking the invidiual episodes to compare. Search the log file for South Park to see what I did.

Also I am now running Server Version 3.0.5768.6 and it didn't change this issue.

Still can't replicate, enabled missing and unaired, marked season as watched and refreshed page and all current episodes were marked as watched.  But I use xmls so I don't know if that makes a difference.

Or are you referring to Seasons in which you have no episodes and marking as watched as displayed here?

I have the episodes, and I mark them as displayed like you did in that picture, or even from the view above it where it shows only seasons, and then check mark it, but it does not change the episodes at all, and if I refresh the page the checkmark on the season goes away too.

I dont use xml, I do use nfo. I have Metadata saved in folders, and all my seasons of material are in the same folder. So /Show/"Show - 1x01 - title.mkv"

In my case I. Am having troubles when all episodes in a season are missing (haven't got a case where some but not all are missing to test).

Still happening on Server Version 3.0.5768.7.

If I use Kodi to mark as watched, it works correctly and syncs it back, so that is my workaround. But the Emby client does not work to mark as watched.

"I've been having exact same issue. And even if every episode in a season is watched, it does not update the season checkmark to red, it stays white. But favoriting, or thumbs up and down works.

None of my shows have season folders.

When I click Season "Played"

When I click Episode "Played"

Thanks. Question - do your episodes display correctly underneath each season in the web interface?

Yes, the episodes display correctly and work perfectly. And if I mark a show as watched it marks every episode correctly, but the seasons do not display a watched mark, and if everything is already watched, and I click the season to be unwatched, it does not do anything.

I tried the android phone app as well. It would not mark seasons as watched either, nor display that they were already watched.
