cha_kumar 0 Posted October 25, 2015 Posted October 25, 2015 Media Preparation Naming and Organizing TV Shows and MoviesWhat is the best way to organize the folders for my media contents, i have huge number of contents downloaded from internet, i see the server is not auto detecting the meta information from internet. i use sample below, Same is working fine with Plex Server and Serviio Media server./TV Shows /Heroes /Season 01 Heroes - s01e01.avi Heroes - s01e02 - The Coming Storm.avi Heroes - s01e03.mp4 /Season 02 Heroes - s02e01.avi Heroes - s02e02.mkv Heroes - s02e03.m4v/Movies /Avatar (2009) Avatar (2009).mkv /Batman Begins (2005) Batman Begins (2005).mp4 Batman Begins (2005).eng.srt poster.jpg I love to use Emby but im finding it hard to manually link TV shows and Movies
Abobader 3464 Posted October 25, 2015 Posted October 25, 2015 Good day, That naming is correct, Emby support many naming type, as you see here in the wiki: https://github.com/MediaBrowser/Wiki/wiki My best
Abobader 3464 Posted October 25, 2015 Posted October 25, 2015 Sorry I forgot, regarding second part, emby server have auto organize as you will see that option at the emby server dash I do not use it, but feel free to ask about it settings.
chef 3810 Posted October 25, 2015 Posted October 25, 2015 That particular file system looks right. That is how it is suggested to have it setup, although emby can determine mixed content volumes in your folder structure. Emby should beable to scan your library, and either read .nfo file (which may exsist) or plex style metadata files, or create its own XML.
Luke 42079 Posted October 25, 2015 Posted October 25, 2015 That all looks fine. Can you give examples of specific titles that failed to match? thanks.
