Bert 49 Posted October 23, 2015 Posted October 23, 2015 So, not entirely sure what's helpful here but I run Windows 8 64 Bit. Occasionally, it seems Emby Server crashes. Not enough that I care to investigate at his point, something went wrong, it crashed no big deal. The issue is, the program that should be named Emby Server, is still named Mediabrowser Server. Annoying little nuisance but slows me down every time. Plus, thought you were distancing yourself from the old MB. Any reason this hasn't updated or is this unique to me?
Luke 42083 Posted October 23, 2015 Posted October 23, 2015 Well, you're right, but you only notice that if you actually go into the executable folder and very few people do that. Or are you referring to the start menu entry? the start menu is correctly named Emby Server for new installations.
mediacowboy 438 Posted October 23, 2015 Posted October 23, 2015 I see that the name is MediaBrowser.ServerAppplication.exe*32 in the task manager as well. Again no big deal just thought I would point that out as well.
Bert 49 Posted October 24, 2015 Author Posted October 24, 2015 I was referring to the start menu entry when hitting windows key and typing. So to get mine updated I would uninstall and reinstall?
MEB 27 Posted October 24, 2015 Posted October 24, 2015 I was referring to the start menu entry when hitting windows key and typing. So to get mine updated I would uninstall and reinstall? Or just right click the shortcut in the start menu and click "rename" 2
